Biography
Chinlin HSIEH (Taiwan) emigrated to France in 1988. She studied Piano, Fine Art and French Literature before venturing into cinema. Hsieh first worked in production, distribution and programming. In 2014, she made her directorial debut with Flowers of Taipei, a feature-length documentary on the Taiwanese New Wave. The film screened in Venice and Rotterdam among numerous other festivals worldwide. The Donkey is Hsieh's first fiction film.
