Biography

After directing numerous short films, Chloé Zhao premiered at Sundance Festival her first feature film, Songs My Brother Taught Me (2015), subsequently shown in the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs at the Festival de Cannes. The second, The Rider (2017), once again participated in the same section of the French competition and received four Independent Spirit Award nominations. Nomadland, adaptation of the book Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century, by the journalist Jessica Bruder, competed at the Venice Festival. She is also a director of The Eternals by Marvel.
