Biography
Anucha Boonyawatana (Nakhon Phanom, Thailand, 1981) is the film director and founder of G-Motif Production company. As a transgender, Anucha Boonyawatana’s films focus on gender issues in Thai society. In 2012, her short film Erotic Fragments No. 1, 2, 3 (2012) was screened in competition at Berlinale. Anucha Boonyawatana’s first feature film The Blue Hour premiered in the Panorama section at Berlinale in 2015. The director’s second feature film was Malila: The Farewell Flower.
