Biography

Patrick Lussier is a virtuoso of suspense. He has collaborated with horror maestro Wes Craven on a dozen productions and most recently teamed with screenwriter Todd Farmer on the horror hit My Bloody Valentine 3-D, which grossed more than $100 million in worldwide box office sales when it was released in January 2009. He co-wrote and directed the vampire trilogy Wes Craven Presents Dracula 2000, Dracula II: Ascension and Dracula III: Legacy with casts including Gerard Butler, Jason Scott Lee, Jason London, Roy Scheider and Rutger Hauer.

After studying film at Capilano College in Vancouver, Lussier began his career as an editor of episodic television such as "MacGyver." In 1991, he was hired to edit episodes of the NBC anthology series "Nightmare Café." Wes Craven produced the series and directed an episode that Lussier cut. Since then, they have frequently worked together. Lussier edited the horror film The Eye and also acted as a visual consultant.

Lussier made his directorial debut with the horror fantasy The Prophecy 3: The Ascent, the series' last installment to feature Christopher Walken as the Archangel Gabriel. His credits as a visual consultant enhancing films for various studios include Darkness Falls, 54, Brothers Grimm, Exorcist: The Beginning/Dominion, The Return and Whisper. Lussier was also a music consultant on Reindeer Games and Equilibrium.
