Biography

Byamba Sakhya (1962) is a Mongolian screenwriter and director. He graduated from the Russian VGIK film institute in Moscow with the short film Umbilical Cord (1996). He first collaborated on the making of a number of international film productions, later independently directing the documentaries Poets of Mongolia (1999), Perpetum Mobile (2002), and Passion (Khusel Shunal, 2010). The family drama Remote Control (2013) is his feature film debut.
