2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)

English To be honest, I don't see much difference between this film and the much-vaunted first installment. The first one has perhaps a slightly more interesting story and characters, but otherwise it's pretty much the same. The action scenes were entertaining even as they were implausible (and really hectic); the central duo were also entertaining, the tuned up cars left me cold except for the blue Camaro. I watched without much harm and three stars is fair, I think.

Extraction (2020)

English After Triple Frontier, another likeably uncompromising and gritty action flick from Netflix. The choreography and direction are so predatory and imaginative that there are several scenes that I wanted to rewatch immediately after the credits rolled, and I did. The story is simple, but it also manages to surprise with one unusual, yet logical alliance in particular, and the quiet ending didn't bother me at all, quite the opposite – I felt like I needed a breather. I trusted Chris Hemsworth with everything.

Black Mirror - The Waldo Moment (2013) (episode)

English This episode dragged a bit, but it was definitely interesting and I was directly fascinated by how my sympathies gradually spilled over between the characters until I ended up hating just about everyone.

The Willoughbys (2020)

English Gorgeous styling and animation, crazy gags, and a great (original) dub, all of which I enjoyed... for about half an hour. Then, unfortunately, The Willoughbys got a bit boring and, more importantly, I noticed that it somehow lacked a proper, interesting, or at the very least meaningful story. And that's a great, great loss. Good enough for one viewing, but I'm afraid there won't be any more.

Black Mirror - White Bear (2013) (episode)

English So at the beginning I was like, "Well, okay, I guess there wasn't a super big budget for this episode, but it's still a decently suspenseful chase and it's got swing." Only then I found out what it was all about, and if it hadn't been such a harrowing experience, I might have even been laughing at how the creators outfoxed me. Again.

Wayne's World (1992)

English You either like Mike Myers' humor or you don't, and I subscribe to the former group and enjoyed Wayne's World. It's not nearly as silly and simple a spectacle as it may seem. It's a pretty clever film that makes fun of itself, others, and the entire film industry and loves using all sorts of clichés and turning them on their head or leaving them as they are because they're pretty laughable in their own right... Oh, and the two perfect clowns in the lead roles – and of course Alice Cooper, who apparently knows everything about Milwaukee. Fun, fun, fun.

The Fast and the Furious (2001)

English Not nearly as bad as I remembered it. In fact, it's an easily digestible story, seen hundreds of times, but filmed with swing, decent main characters, and lots of ungainly tuned-up cars (and one beautiful Dodge Charger, but it doesn't come until the end). The racing scenes are pretty cool, but the highlight of the film is an honest-to-goodness truck ambush action scene – cliché or not, by that point I had grown quite fond of everyone and enjoyed it as much as the final payoff.

Black Mirror - Be Right Back (2013) (episode)

English A pleasantly short story with a great idea. It's sci-fi, it's this close to reality, it's a strong drama with believable emotions, it's well acted and it has a great punchline. I couldn't have asked for more.

Horns (2013)

English A reasonably faithful, but mostly good adaptation of the book. I was a bit worried about Daniel Radcliffe, but he was fine in the end and handled Ig in all situations, and I was also curious to see what the somewhat unbalanced Alexandre Aja would do for me. In the end I have to say that Horns has a very good atmosphere, it's entertaining and quite suspenseful... and if nothing else, it features Juno Temple, gorgeous as always. The only thing that disappointed me was the slightly off finale – even some TV series have better ones. But whatever.
