Vikings - Season 2 (2014) (season)

English What joy and happiness have befallen me! I liked the first season very much and worried that the second one would not reach the same quality. And I wasn’t wrong, it was even better! A well-blended mixture of intrigue and action. Keep them coming!

Vikings - Season 1 (2013) (season)

English The first season was a delight. A great mixture of intrigue, raw carnage, and a very interesting cast, without unnecessary tear-jerking scenes. I was totally satisfied.

11.22.63 (2016) (series)

English There are few books by Stephen King that I haven't read, and 11/22/63 isn’t one of them. I don't know how I would have reacted to the series if I hadn't read the book, but having read it, I was disappointed. I understand that the story has to be cut down in a certain way, but I don't understand why new characters (Billy) need to be introduced who have no impact on the plot whatsoever. Another pet peeve of mine that has been bothering me for quite a while is the diversity quotas that need to be filled in every American movie or TV show. I don't have anything against actors of color, but I do have a problem with them being cast in roles where it makes no sense. In this case, it's Mimi Corcoran who, in the book, was portrayed as the éminence grise of Jodie High School. Instead, she's a black secretary who can only repeat "Yes, sir! '. The whole plot seems strangely unbalanced, and I couldn't get into it at all. On the other hand, credit is due to the very good James Franco and Sarah Gadon.

Letters to Santa (2011)

English A Polish variation on Love Actually, which turned out great. A well-made Christmas movie that I found relatable and fun. What more could I ask for from a Christmas romance?

Love Actually (2003)

English A well-cast hilarious British comedy. As it is a Christmas film, there’s a huge dose of romance, which is not to say it’s a bad thing. The film works really well as a whole. The only parts I didn't like were the Liam Neeson scenes, which tugged a little too much at the heartstrings. On the other hand, the characters played by Martin Freeman and Bill Nighy were excellent. " Don't buy drugs. Become a pop star and they give you them for free!"

Kolya (1996)

English A screenplay by Zdeněk Svěrák is a guarantee of quality and a good dose of intelligent humor. Kolja is an excellently written film that can make me laugh out loud. I appreciate that Zdeněk Svěrák manages to avoid cringey melodrama even in scenes that were deliberately written to appeal to emotion. He manages to write them in such a way that they are part of the film and don’t feel distractive. I can’t really think of anything negative to say about this film, I'm simply a fan of Svěrák.

Spies Like Us (1985)

English A crazy cold war comedy which made me laugh a lot, with excellent protagonists Chase and Aykroyd. I could list a few weaker moments, but I don't feel like it. I had way too much fun. “Uh, you have a tent?!!”

Christmas Vacation (1989)

English A must-see film for me every Christmas. Love, Christmas traditions, and fake emotions are all around me, and the Griswold family can always make me relax and have a good laugh. After all these years I know exactly who will say which line and when, but it still does the trick and I always have a royally good time watching it.

Walk of Shame (2014)

English The film is far from deep or groundbreaking. Then again, I watched it to have a good laugh and I did spend most of the time laughing, so only 3 stars, but I’m satisfied anyway.

Once Upon a Time in the West (1968)

English Absolutely awesome in all respects. The acting, the screenplay, the direction, the cinematography. Everything I can think of is excellent. The film doesn’t have any weaknesses. Even if I did find one, it wouldn't matter. The score would make me forget it immediately. That's what happens when true masters work together. There aren’t enough stars for me to rate this.
