Vyšehrad - Rovina (2016) (episode)

English After the first episode, I would say that it probably won't be our footballers' favorite series, although it is possible that Lavi is a typical example extracted from Czech football waters (and I think he is), and then it can be expected that our footballers will, on the contrary, fall in love with the series.

The Line (2017) (series)

English I'm very happy with the series. Adding up the negatives, I couldn't take away more than one star. I’m not a huge fan of Jiří Langmajer, but he was brilliant in The Line. Norbert Lichý was great as usual and Hana Vagnerová often made me laugh and managed to look good while doing so. I haven’t had such a good laugh for ages. If the creators hadn’t made some unfortunate decisions, it would have been worth a full score.

The Line - Bůh (2017) (episode)

English I could imagine an even better final episode of the successful series, I hesitated a lot about giving it four stars, but in the end, I managed to squeeze it in, despite Dominik Hašek. The whole thing ended somewhat utopically, in Havířov, all those Kyselí and Masní still stick together, as long as they manage to get the city on subsidies.

The Line - Kladno (2017) (episode)

English Under normal circumstances, I would rate the seventh episode with three stars, but Hrouzek's motivational speech on the bus was so perfect that Mel Gibson should bury himself in shame for his embarrassingly amateurish speech in Braveheart. Hmmm, so a mine sale... Well, even screenwriters have their off days.

The Line - Krize (2017) (episode)

English Yeah, that's how it goes with league hockey and football in Havířov. When you make it, you'll pass it on to someone, that's the local reality. Otherwise, well-played Pepík Hnátek, that fucker was like him for a 7-0 victory. "If God knew that someone would ruin hockey with this performance, He would never have allowed the water to freeze!" // "But I got a clean sheet, it's impossible to let in fewer goals!" "I'm talking about promotion here, dude! Don't piss me off with some math!"

The Line - Talkshow (2017) (episode)

English The television interview was really worth it, Jiří Langmajer and Václav Neužil must have really enjoyed this scene, at least that's how it looked. And Hrouzek's fight for the position of the national team coach at the Winter Olympics was absolutely perfect, that's what I call dedication. "Why are you staring at her boobs?", Denisa, Havířov.

The Line - Pravda (2017) (episode)

English The fourth episode turned out to be very successful for the creators, which pleased me a lot after the unconvincing third part. If Růžička hasn't figured out who Langmajer is playing yet, now he must have a clear idea :-) Surprisingly, coach Hrouzek manages to solve his relationship problems. "I handled it for you." "By yourself?!" "With an iron?!" // "Deniska, would you like a Mini Cooper?" "No?" // "That son of a bitch will always be an asshole."

The Line - Láska (2017) (episode)

English The third part seemed to me to be the weakest so far, I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous episodes, although it had its bright moments. I understood, for example, why Lady Dee works as a porn actress, she made the right choice, she probably wouldn't be a good host. The best line this time was said by the miner Zbyňa: "The Hrouzeks are worse than the disaster at the Dukla mine."

The Line - Denisa (2017) (episode)

English The second part pleased me with even better shots of Havířov, enriching the plot with the character of Denisa (Hana Vagnerová plays her role excellently) and an interesting development in the club. I was amused by the cunning measuring of the hockey stick (Hrouzek picked it up from the Canadians), the crazy Lupták, and plenty of punchlines. "Nobody is prepared for life in Havířov." (awesome!) "Emotions are part of hockey!"

War for the Planet of the Apes (2017)

English As in the previous installment, I liked how lifelike the apes were, but the story itself wasn’t particularly compelling. I didn't have to strain my imagination very far to guess which way the plot would go, it was all so predictable. It definitely wasn't boring, but it could have done with a substantial shortening of the running time without the film suffering in any way. On a side note, the film obviously wasn't made by apes. If it had been, it certainly would have been less melodramatic, and bananas would have played a much bigger role in the story.
