Billions - Indian Four (2017) (episode)

English Another great episode. The story moved along nicely, the atmosphere was spot on, and the scheming was in full swing. I realized that the show lacks typical good guys, which is refreshing — enough of the boring boy scouts. I’m curious to see how things unfold, as Chikatilo has set an intriguing game in motion.

Billions - Currency (2017) (episode)

English Things picked up again. The plotting and scheming returned, bringing back the engaging atmosphere and pacing. Damian Lewis got another chance to show off his knack for playing cold-blooded characters. A welcome improvement after the previous episode. 5*-

Billions - The Oath (2017) (episode)

English The fourth episode didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The story had potential, but the creators seemed to let it drift along at a slow pace, sacrificing momentum. The subplot with Wendy felt out of place, and honestly, I wouldn’t have missed it if it wasn’t there.

Doc Martin - Perish Together as Fools (2009) (episode)

English Thankfully, this episode was much better than the last. The doctor had plenty of opportunities to showcase his charmingly gruff demeanor, and Louisa was less dull. Most importantly, the creators focused on characters with believable issues rather than over-the-top psychotics.

Billions - Optimal Play (2017) (episode)

English Third time's the charm — this episode worked for me. I love poker, whether I'm playing it live, in Far Cry, or watching it in movies or shows. The pre-game prep was amusing, and Taylor gave me strong Stranger Things "Thirteen" vibes, but with less charm. Brian and the flight attendant were a great touch too.

Billions - Dead Cat Bounce (2017) (episode)

English Last episode set the stage, so I was ready for things to pick up. While the story was interesting and I wasn't bored, the pace felt a bit sluggish. I expected the second episode to be a bit more lively. Fingers crossed for the upcoming episodes.

Billions - Risk Management (2017) (episode)

English The episode was clearly designed to remind viewers of the previous plot and set the stage for what's to come. It's your typical introductory episode, reintroducing the characters and the storyline. Honestly, it wasn't bad at all.

Billions - Season 1 (2016) (season)

English I am very satisfied with the series after Season 1. The theme is clear: the world of big finance filled with illegal practices, which has become a sore spot for a lot of Americans after the not-so-distant recession. The story is built around a duel between a powerful financial tycoon and the State’s Attorney. The information that gradually floats to the surface affects the often-fanatical behavior of the two protagonists. I have to praise the great cast, atmosphere, writing and soundtrack. Although there were weaker moments here and there, it worked great as a whole and I'm already looking forward to the next season.

Billions - The Conversation (2016) (episode)

English Well, well, well! We're back to a five-star rating. The season finale was exceptionally well done. It had the right atmosphere, a plot full of events, and unlike the previous episode, the story maintained a good pace. This time, I was most entertained by the two main female characters. The financial maneuvering before the deposition and the preparations for a potential escape were genuinely amusing.

Billions - Magical Thinking (2016) (episode)

English I was a bit disappointed. The previous episode set the bar high, so I was expecting more. Sure, there were some key revelations and interesting interactions, but the story’s pace slowed significantly, and I found myself a bit bored at times. It’s a shame, but I’m hopeful it’s just a calm before the storm in the season finale.
