LA BĘTE HUMAINE, starring Jean Gabin as railroad engineer Jacques Lantier, is an adaptation of the Emile Zola classic whose characters are driven by rage and lust. Lantier is obssessed with Severine, the beautiful wife of stationmaster Robaud.
