Poirot takes on his toughest challenge yet as he races to prove a convicted killer is innocent. Mrs McGinty was killed by a brutal blow to the head, and her lodger James Bentley is sentenced to hang for the murder. Superintendent Spence is convinced the evidence was just too obvious and asks his old friend Hercule Poirot to investigate. As Poirot joins forces with famed crime novelist Ariadne Oliver to save Bentley from the gallows, he doesn’t realise his own life is in danger. (iTunes)

The idea that Poirot can save a man who was likely wrongly accused of murder and is to be hanged isn't particularly original, but it still adds an extra element, and you want to know how it all ends. The reveal was excellent and I was really entertained from start to finish. A great episode, one of the best. ()
