Action superstar Jean-Claude Van Damme muscles up and makes his mark as Gibson Rickenbacker, arguably the futures most fearsome warrior in Cyborg. A 21st Century plague has ravaged the world, leaving behind a treacherous wasteland of anarchy and death. The only glimmer of hope on the desolate horizon is Pearl Prophet (Dayle Haddon). Half robot, half human, Pearl is a highly complex cyborg programmed to develop a vaccine destined to restore hope to the civilised world. Pearl is abducted by a crew of cannibalistic Flesh Pirates, led by blood-thirsty Fender Tremolo (Vincent Klyn), who are violently intent on total world domination and will let nothing get in their way. But they have not encountered the formidable fight and sabre-sharp skills of Gibson Rickenbacker, a man ready to kick high, swing fast and do whatever it takes to save civilisation from an eternal apocalypse. English Movies with pandemics now have completely different relevance. :-D The baddie with blue eyes could simply be any shareholder of a corporation that makes vaccine. Otherwise, this is the epitome of a B-movie, with an atmosphere reminiscent of Mad Max and pretty good fights, but the story left such a strong impression on me that this morning I no longer know how it ended. P.S.: Van Damme with a paintball gun in his hand is just perfect. ()

English Given its miniature budget, it is quite unbelievable and an incomparable piece in today's time. The unique trashy feeling has been forever etched into my memory. In terms of the plot, it is meaningless, and even fans of post-apocalyptic sci-fi, in my opinion, will not be too thrilled, as the film looks truly cheap from the first minute. Van Damme kicks well, but I don't necessarily need to watch an hour and a half film that is completely pointless and ends as quickly as it begins. ()

English JCVD is very young in this movie. But he demonstrates here why you like him. He's kicking around, in one moment he's bent over, and he basically transforms into Jesus, but only to kick everyone's ass. Nice retro, which I'd happily watch again sometime. ()
