The English speaking pseudo-documentary taking place in New York and Budapest is based on the strange video dairy of Gabriel, a film script writer of Hungarian origin living in New York City, which was made by the half-genial, half-crazy artist, closed up in his apartment, in the last year of his life, from January to December. Under the weight of his own failure he slowly and gradually looses his sense of reality which he felt for his immediate environment as well as for the world as a whole, and which is further aggravated by an ever more sick and confused anxiety. The hurdy-gurdy, which evoked childhood memories in him, he got during a Budapest visit. On the last sequence of his video diary, Gabriel plays the hurdy gurdy on a New York street to the people.
