The spectacular epic sequel to Margaret Mitchell's much loved Gone With The Wind is an Emmy Award winning production that carries on where the classic story left off, transporting beloved heroine Scarlett O'Hara across two continents in a journey of love and life fulfillment. As Scarlett (Joanne Whalley Kilmer) bereaves the sudden death of her ex-sister-in-law she comes to terms with the dramatic parting of ways with husband Rhett (Timothy Dalton, License To Kill) and an overwhelming sense of heartbreak associated with his absence. Resolved to get on with her life Scarlett returns to her home in Tara only to discover that Mammy, her mainstay since birth, is gravely ill and nearing death. By means of deception Scarlett lures Rhett back to Tara to farewell their mutual friend in an attempt to rekindle their marriage. A series of dramatic events both near and afar unfold that will test the powers of destiny and guide their hearts and minds in directions unforeseen. (Umbrella Entertainment)

English This is a wonderful miniseries (the official sequel based on Alexandra Ripley’s book) that I personally find much more acceptable than the classic Gone with the Wind (1939). For Civil War buffs, there is also another excellent series called North and South (1985) with Patrick Swayze. ()
