Henry V, one of Shakespeare's greatest historical plays on British monarchs centres on a new young king facing a country on the brink of war with France. Laurence Olivier is a great actor, but there were moments when I simply didn't believe him. It was as if he was playing more with his voice than with his whole body. Maybe it was also for the overall concept of the film, where you are truly watching a theatrical play, which is also reflected in the fantastic opening intro. Those miniatures are divine. Nevertheless, I still think that Shakespeare is best suited for the theater.
