In Alan Parker's Fame, teenagers selected for the prestigious NYC School for the Performing Arts arrive for their first day of tuition with dreams of stardom. Whether it's streetwise Coco (Irene Cara), timid Doris (Maureen Teefy), tortured soul Montgomery (Paul McCrane), macho Raul (Barry Miller) or soulful Bruno (Lee Curreri) they all have their insecurities and all face the same struggle to find their own identities. English An interesting insight into the lives of people who are artistically gifted and want to present themselves in some way. But they are still human, they still have their faults, and they don't really know what to do with their lives. It’s very well acted, and despite its length, it is not boring. The excellent musical numbers must also be appreciated. ()
