The popular sci-fi television series MUTANT X stars John Shea as scientist Adam Kane, the leader of a group of humans who have acquired amazing and deadly powers after being used as unwitting guinea pigs for a corporation's secret genetic experiment. As part of Adam's Mutant X team, the animalistic Shalimar (Victoria Pratt), shapeshifting Jesse (Forbes March), telepathic Emma (Lauren Lee Smith), and electrically-charged Brennan (Victor Webster) dedicate themselves to using their powers for secret crime-fighting missions while trying to stop the experiment's mastermind--and Adam's former partner--Mason Eckhart (Tom McCamus) from using the project for nefarious ends. Mutant X (2001)

English Fortunately, when the series ended in 2004, it was the last time I had to deal with the unbearable barrier of actual unavailability. Moreover, that was the height of my love for Vicky Pratt of Cleopatra 2525... Since then, if I'm interested in watching anything new a few hours after it airs in the US, it's no longer a problem. However, because of Mutant X, I still went through the classic round of separate discovery and, after admiring the individual photos and the glorious viewing experience. I've gotten over the fact that the show was cancelled due to the production company going bankrupt, and I've said goodbye to my favorite group only to revisit it now and again. Mutant X Lives! ()

Season 2 (2002) (S02)

English The second season of MX was already a bit different. The main villain was defeated at the end of the first season, the cold modern style was replaced by colors, and the costumes of the main characters were complemented by more civilian pieces. Interactions and relationships became more human, Lauren Lee Smith got a new hairstyle, and Vicky Pratt could finally work with her character's past. What I really liked was the addition of exteriors. The show in this season became a classic viewer's buddy, where the creators found themselves and the viewers gained another comfortable safe space. From the episodes that I regularly return to even after years, I would mention Whose Woods These Are and Inferno. ()

Season 3 (2003) (S03)

English What was the third and final season of MX like? Very different. We lost Lauren Lee Smith (who wasn't lost as an actress), and she was replaced by Karen Cliche, a veteran from Vampire High and Adventure Inc., and at first it looked like we also lost John Shea. It was necessary to get used to the new dynamics in the team, but fortunately, the change was very well written. Vicky Pratt played the first two seasons as the more experienced one, and now the forces were equal, and both main mutants were able to do similar extra feats. The episode No Exit was excellent and after Art of Attraction it was brilliant until the end. In Cirque des Merveilles, Vicky Pratt even had a dual role and at that time she also received a nomination for her Shalimar Fox at the prestigious Saturn Awards. I like to remember that time, even though there was no fourth season, because the production company collapsed. It was a different era than classic fantasy from the 90s, but it was equally inspiring.
