Let a new Portuguese cinema blossom! Let images and sounds like those of Dziga Vertov and Terry Gilliam and Jan Lenica cross-pollinate and grow wondrous AV flowers! All honour to horticulturalist and florist Aurélio Paz dos Reis, the nation’s first filmmaker who, after a few active months, abandoned moving images again and returned to the spectacle of nature itself.
