I was disappointed. Otis's best friend being gay? Cool, I didn't mind. Otis advising lesbians? Okay, why not. But then they added Jackson's moms and the subsequent proud fight against injustice, and I realized the plot was becoming too politically correct for me. I was hoping the show's theme would keep it from being so conventional, but I guess they just didn't have the balls for that.
