Tobacco Trails

With the arrival of Austro-Hungarians to Bosnia and Herzegovina and by establishing certain elements of a modern European society, Herzegovina has developed an "activity" that has been one of the leading for more than half a century. It is tobacco smuggling while tobacco breeding and planting was under the strict control of the state. Smugglers have been going into Bosnia by smuggled tobacco routes that led through high mountain areas. (Sarajevo Film Festival)
