“We are too old-fashioned, this is the problem. We look at the moon, we look at too many things…” This is told to Angelo, a young waiter that lives in a small village. It is said that inside the grotto is guarded an ancient secret. The village seems to live in a suspended time, anchored to old rituals, such as pig’s killing, wheat harvesting or the electoral campaign. The young man follows all this with a participated detachment and he confront himself with an older man called Angelo, just like him, a barman at the local café, who that from behind the counter benefit of a favoured viewpoint on the village’s dynamics. They both dream and fear the escape at the same time, both scared by the idea that if they go away they may lose everything they are. (Anchorage International Film Festival)
