Off the ice, he is loveable with a heart of gold. On it, he is hockey's heaviest hitter, the player with a serious tolerance for pain and unrivalled skill in sucker-punching the opposition. But after taking the hardest hit of his career, hockey enforcer Doug Glatt (Seann William Scott) is sidelined and under pressure from his pregnant wife to retire. She's keen for him to work a safe job, like in insurance - and he reluctantly agrees. That is until he discovers the player who sent him to the sideline has joined his old team as captain. It's all the motivation Doug needs to get back in the rink; and with the help of former rival, Ross "The Boss" Rhea (Liev Schreiber), he sets out to prove that you can take the player out of the game but you can't take the fight out of "Doug The Thug". English A bit of a pointless film that doesn't really offer much from the first part. The fights are still okay and the final one is decently bloody, but otherwise I didn't enjoy it as much as I once did. 55% ()

English Unfortunately, this sequel provides almost nothing interesting. The only thing that stands out is the bloody fights, which I liked. But otherwise, the nostalgia and melodrama are about nothing, because you simply don't connect with the characters that well. Jay Baruchel shouldn't have been in this film at all, he should have just stayed behind the camera. ()
