Epizoda 1 (S01E01)

Cath Hardacre is a good nurse. Caring and hard-working, she does her very best for everyone in the cardiology ward she works in. However, when Cath notices that her hospital’s standards are slipping, she seeks the help of local journalist Sam Kelly. He’s interested in the case but warns her that the Trust is likely to tarnish her reputation if he publishes her story. Realising she should have done this first, Cath goes straight to the Trust, assuming they will listen to her concerns. But she is shocked to find herself immediately suspended. Removed from the nursing register, her father Arthur trapped in the throes of Alzheimer’s and with her good-for-nothing, ex-partner Karl failing to make ends meet, Cath struggles to get her life back on track and raise her young daughter Molly alone.
