After six months of fighting with US troops in attempt to seize control of Guadalcanal, the Japanese Army decides to evacuate. During that time, Sub-Lieutenant Tanimura (Yujiro Ishihara) of the Navy Air Service is sent to take command of a detachment fleet that resides in the Solomon Islands of the South Pacific. He had anticipated this to be a tough mission, but is utterly shocked when welcomed with a barrage of gunfire from his own men. (Nikkatsu)
