Lenka’s holidays brighten when she spots the stallion Prim. But the horse is wild and dangerous, especially when the driver Brťák hurts him. Lenka sees this and gradually bonds with Prim. When Prim can’t be tamed, the farm manager decides to get rid him and Lenka must promise that she won't visit Prim anymore, which she doesn't keep. When Prim gets colic, the only way to save him is to force him to trot, which no one is brave enough to do. Lenka sneaks from her house at night and runs with Prim until he recovers. She then gets on the horse and speeds through the countryside. Her father and the farm manager go after her as they're afraid for her life. In the end they find Prim peacefully standing in a quarry near an excavator in which Lenka is sleeping. Everyone is happy and no one interferes with her friendship with the horse.
