English In the 7th Monster High movie, the main story is a very nice variation of fairy tales with French charm, whether for adult audiences in the style of Emily in Paris or child audiences as in Barbie: A Fashion Fairytale. I was really happy to see a good portion of space given to Rochelle Goyle, a gargoyle with roots in Notre Dame, whom I've grown fond of in the "Ghoulfriends" book series. Yet the problem is that the plot of Scaris was barely an hour long, and the rest of the runtime was filled with a naive slapstick that would have worked better in a series format, which somewhat detracted from the otherwise positive impression of the film.
