English After finishing the entire third season of Narcos: Mexico, I had to watch the documentary about El Chapo (let’s hope the fourth season focuses on him). His life story offers an endless array of bizarre situations and great moments for film adaptation. I particularly enjoyed how the documentary covered his almost mythical prison escapes. One can only shake their head at the circumstances surrounding these stories. The documentary doesn’t just rely on interviews with industry insiders but provides the right kind of experience through real footage (which I welcomed with open arms for this subject matter). Looking back, I can appreciate the Mexican branch of the Narcos series even more; the creators took great care to stay true to reality and didn’t embellish things too much. I recommend this El Chapo spectacle. 7.5/10 ()
