Set between the video games 'Resident Evil 6' (2012) and 'Resident Evil 7 - Biohazard' (2017), this instalment follows BSAA Captain Chris Redfield (voice of Kevin Dorman) as he teams up with Leon S. Kennedy (Matthew Mercer) and Professor Rebecca Chambers (Erin Cahill) to stop wanted black market dealer Glenn Arias (Alexander Polinsky) from unleashing the new Trigger Virus on New York City and creating hordes of new infected zombies. At times, it reminded me a lot of the classic Resident Evil due to borrowed plot elements, an attempt at revenge on a woman, but ultimately, I also felt like I was watching a bit of Batman, just without Batman. Sure, plot-wise it's not particularly nourishing, but visually it's really enjoyable to watch.
