I’m writing this only a day after watching the film and I’m already having a hard time remembering what The Lord of Illusions was about, which isn’t the best calling card for Barker’s latest directorial attempt. The story is bland, it moves very slowly and doesn’t have any interesting or memorable moments. The only thing worth mentioning is the ending, which has plenty of Barker’s atmosphere. It’s a shame that Clive Barker has never quite worked on me (both on paper and in film). ()
