Each to Their Own

A family deals with the aftermath of the father's unexpected death. Caroline, the mother, wants to move on and puts their home on the market. Her teenage daughter, Jenya, retreats as she wanders through Auckland's suburban landscape, eventually finding herself drawn into the bosom of a Charismatic church. At first it is intoxicating to her, pulling her away from her family, but ultimately this journey leaves her feeling suffocated. (Locarno Festival)
