Never before has the life expectancy of the average German been as high as it is today. Older people simply want to look younger. No wonder that the anti-ageing market is booming: There are countless ways and means of rejuvenating artificially. But what is the price to pay for a wrinkle-free face? This film illustrates, with which means the war against wrinkles is fought - on the skin, beneath the skin, with Botox and autologous fat. During their research, authors Maryam Bonakdar and Anika Giese re-peatedly encounter a putative miracle weapon: stem cells. In Germany, the cosmetics industry uses them in vegetable or adult form, with sup-posedly sensational success. Abroad, beauty clinics go a step further. Some of them apparently use embryonic stem cells for anti-ageing treatments. But just where do these come from? The authors discover evidence that Eastern Europe-an women are persuaded to undergo abortions for money. Reports from patients and doctors reveal the ugly side of the beauty industry.
