A fairly inventive sci-fi film, which managed to present its premise quite well despite not having a very strong story. The "game" that is being played here is captured perfectly, without using any elaborate special effects. In this respect, I must definitely praise the film, because it succeeded. ()
A solid action B-movie. The most interesting idea is definitely the one where a group of random people sign up for a trial of a new video game where the winner can get $100,000, but everything changes when the game involves the lives of the participants. A great looking virtual world that is very close to a computer game, players are tasked with going through 26 levels killing terrorists (they have vests and medkits and the best score per level counts). Luckily it's also R-rated and there are plenty of shootouts and as we already know there has to be an asshole in every team. The final twist was also a surprise, the downside is the behaviour of the characters, which started to get on my nerves after a while. A strong three stars and a recommendation. 69%. ()
