This short poetic two-part film portrays the islands which, for many, symbolize heaven on Earth and are almost immediately associated with Charles Darwin. These islands have a long history, however, which is shrouded in legends passed down from generation to generation of sailors passing them on their voyages. It is as if the mysterious cliffs only emerged when no one was actually searching for them or really needed them; full of strange animals looking like characters from myths or fairy tales. How did the old navigators finally conquer the islands in order to inhabit them? Who were, and still are, the natives or the descendants of those who were dropped off here as punishment for their crimes? Enjoy the peaceful and stress-free atmosphere while unhurriedly gazing at the foaming waves and wobbling fishing boats. Among the lazy seals lying around, the slowly moving crabs, and the dignified and mediating turtles you cannot imagine your life being any different. (Academia Film Olomouc)
