Katie Holmes not only took on the lead role but also directed this film, where she primarily showcases herself as a fairly capable actress who isn't afraid to get a little dirty. I must say, I'm quite a fan of hers, and so this superficial dive "to the bottom" of society appealed to me, mainly because it simply aims to show that there are some problems here. It's not revelatory, but it's a certain perspective. ()
