English A top politician, behaving like a naive teenager, annoyingly self-righteous brat, a bunch of unbearable supporting characters, and the deeply hated Jennifer Lopez, who took this slime down to the lowest level for good. I don't understand how an actor like Fiennes could mess up like this. The year 2002 was rather hectic for him, alongside the excellent Red Dragon and highly subpar Spider, he also managed to embarrass himself with this one, and it doesn't matter that The English Patient tries to spread charisma and smiles in all directions - it simply is not enough. Romantic movies should be a highlight of cinematography, but no matter how tolerant and lighthearted I try to watch Maid in Manhattan, her stupidity still infuriates me. ()

English A bit of a Cinderella story, a bit of a naive romance, and a bit boring at times. JLo again plays it with a "well, if I have to" attitude and then makes it look that way. The film lacks charisma and any kind of charm so even the beautiful Jennifer can't save it. ()
