The film follows Gareth (Julian Morris), a young aspiring knight, who befriends a dragon (voiced by Ben Kingsley) while searching for gold. Technically, this is great considering it's not that financially demanding - I don't think it cost tens of millions. That dragon looks good and fits in quite well. Plus, Ben Kingsley has a great voice. The sequel was cheap nonsense that aimed more for humor, while this is an action ride with occasional jokes, but it's tuned more towards seriousness, or at least more maturely, and it's pretty good.
