Fresh out of college, Jeff (Matthew Daddario), Karen (Gage Golightly), Paul (Samuel Davis), Marcy (Nadine Crocker) and Bert (Dustin Ingram) head up to a remote cabin in the woods for a weekend vacation. However, they are joined by an unwelcomed visitor with a flesh-eating virus. The friends decide to try and get rid of him and when he does eventually stumble away he falls into the local stream and contaminates the water. Forced to use the water, the friends soon find themselves contaminated and discover that each one of them will stop at nothing to survive. (Transmission Films)

English I no longer remember the original, so I won't compare here which is better and worse, let everyone judge for themselves. The downside is that the film moves quite slowly nothing significant happens for almost 50 minutes, not that I was bored, but filmed lacked the drive the trailer promised. Things looked much more promising with the arrival of the infection, but apart from the rotting and decomposing flesh, there is no much gore. The scene with the dog is underused and overall they could have done a lot more here, hence there’s no celebration. At least it is nicely shot, the music is nicely intense and there are two solid sex scenes, so it is undoubtedly better than average, but it had more more potential. The film is also overly naive and too forced towards the end, so anyone who is bothered by illogical behaviour and kitsch will probably complain. Considering that I've only liked Southbound this year, Cabin Fever is one of the better horror films so far. Story 4/10, Atmosphere 5/10, Gore 6/10, Visuals 7/10, Action 6/10, Suspense 5/10,Humor 5/10. Entertainment 6/10. 60%. ()

English 2016's Cabin Fever is a completely unnecessary film that demonstrates Americans lacking taste in horror, and it seems they are desperately running out of ideas when they decide to remake something like this. But then there’s also Spider-Man. Cabin Fever is a laughable film, it absolutely fails to captivate, and, most importantly, it doesn't even attempt to bring anything new to the table, which would at least somewhat differentiate it from the original.
