The idea of "two fellow cops going up against each other but not knowing it" is a good one, but the film drags terribly. For some forty minutes almost nothing happens in it, followed by an hour-long fun and pretty cool chase, and then a slower finish at the end. Moreover, Yves Montand was not a good fit for the lead role (his not-so-dazzling performance was actually saved by the dubbing of Luděk Munzar). Three and a bit. ()
