Jack Black is at-his hilarious best as Dan "The D Train" Landsman, nerdy outsider and head of his high school's 20th reunion committee. Hoping to go from zero to hero, "D Train" jets to L.A. to convince Oliver Lawless (James Marsden), the school's most popular guy turned actor, to come to the big bash. But an insane night of Hollywood-style revelry sparks an unexpected bromance that leads to the most outrageous reunion ever in this hysterical dark comedy. The D Train can surprise, and that's probably the main asset of this dramedy with Jack Black in the lead role. Jack Black doesn't even overact much for most of the film, so you'll find his acting quite tolerable. But I just didn't like the characters themselves, and understanding what their place in life was seemed pretty awkward. ()
