Bianca's (Mae Whitman) universe turns upside down when she learns that her high school refers to her as a "DUFF" (Designated Ugly Fat Friend). Hoping to erase that label, she enlists the help of a charming jock Wesley (Robbie Amell) and her favourite teacher Mr. Arthur (Ken Jeong). Together they'll face the school's mean girl (Bella Thorne) and remind everyone that we are all someone's DUFF... and that's totally fine. (Roadshow Entertainment)

English It's a bit clichéd, it's exactly clear how it will unfold, and you know where the plot twists will be. Still, I immensely enjoyed it, and I had a great time with this romantic comedy because it's so nicely human, not too far-fetched, and not unnecessarily boring. There are characters you'll appreciate, and everything just falls into place. For that hour and a half, I really enjoyed the film. ()

English This is obviously a film for a different target audience. If I were a teenager, I might have given it four stars. Being rather aged, I noticed many flaws. The plot was extremely predictable, and the humor was quite mediocre. The whole film felt really familiar to me, it was similar to a lot of comedies that I’ve seen (Mean Girls, Bullshit, etc.). On the other hand, I quite liked the ending which could have been much worse. I even had a few laughs, which is why I’ve decided to give the film two stars. ()
