Gilly Hopkins has seen more than her share of foster homes. A nice film about how even from a naughty and rebellious girl who doesn't want to stay anywhere because she wants to be with her mom, a pleasant young lady emerges. It's very predictable, but the main actress is absolutely captivating and easily outshines stars like Kathy Bates or Glenn Close. Too bad it's so straightforward and clichéd.
