It's not a groundbreaking film, but I think it made quite a lot out of its plot. It's probably also because I'm quite glad whenever a hyena shows up. They are beautiful animals. It's a shame that the movie is so terribly cliché and that there has to be a mandatory introductory phase, a conflict between a child and an adult that can be resolved. After all, the film ends differently than one might expect.
