Fact: For centuries, people have been disappearing on and around Brown Mountain, North Carolina, USA. Locals believe the disappearances are directly linked with sightings of the unexplained phenomenon known as the "Brown Mountain Lights". Alien Abduction captures the story of the Morris family's experiences while on a camping trip in this remote region. Youngest son Riley sees mysterious lights in the night sky, which he is able to record on his hand held video camera. The family become witnesses to a series of extraordinary and unimaginable events. Another unoriginal found-footage. I’m tired of this :( Theoretically, it’s quite effective in some places, but there’s been too many already…

"For die-hard found footage enthusiasts, 'Alien Abduction' is a fairly tolerable film, but for horror lovers, it's just one of many. There is nothing that sets it apart, at least not significantly enough to make the film stand out and bring something slightly new to the genre. It doesn't bring anything new and just wallows in clichés. Personally, I simply found that in a film, I want to know what is happening. But I still mainly see the genre as an opportunity for those who don't have the means to shoot otherwise, because they lack money. Speaking of which, the special effects are not bad."
