Raymond Borremans, an adventurer, musician, and butterfly collector, fell in love with Africa, and the Ivory Coast became his second home. He was finishing his encyclopaedia there, but he had only reached the letter 'N' before his death. This experimental documentary film tries to create an ambiguous mosaic of Africa, consisting of modern and very personal observations of this European, and relies on his obsession to learn about things around and name them.
