The Spanish approach is quite interesting, as it shares a naturalistic inclination similar to Italian cinema. That's certainly not a bad thing. This film isn't shy about depicting what it sees. And that is a good thing. The fact that the finale is a bit weaker and perhaps overly prolonged is another matter altogether. It doesn't help that the strange music feels almost television-like in quality. The film has an idea and manages to present it in an interesting way, but unfortunately, it struggles to deliver a satisfying conclusion.
