When David Raskin (Jonny Weston) finds a video recording of his seventh birthday he makes a shocking discovery. Realising that he had been a guest at his own birthday party, but as his future self, he finds a part-built temporal relocation prototype in his father's workshop and sets about completing the time machine. After David and his friends make their first attempt at time travel they begin to realise the possibilities that lie ahead of them. Using their knowledge of the future to get girls to notice them, score points against high school bullies and find out the winning lottery numbers, the group begin to notice the adverse effects of their actions and try to figure out exactly what they have created. English Surprisingly, it's not as bad as I thought, although "realistic" handheld camera films just aren't something that can excite me. Quite the opposite, actually. Half of the movie you're watching is filled with quite unnecessary scenes, mainly there to entertain the younger audience, but then there's also an effort to convey some sort of message. The causality isn't flawless, but effort counts in this case. ()
