This is an interesting half-hour visit to the cinematic Overlook that convinces you that Jack Torrance really couldn't have been played by anyone other than Jack Nicholson. Especially his warm-up for the axe and door scene (before which Shelley Duvall shuts herself in the bathroom with a sweet "Bye") is downright surreal. ()
