The main problem isn’t that the BBC is trying a different target group than until now and as a result the fundamental aspects discussed and analyzed here are somehow familiar to everybody or have been seen in other programs by the “more experienced" of us. The problem is that Cox is presenting this in a way suitable for utter idiots who don’t have the capacity to comprehend even the first level of basics, and he is the Chosen One, sent to the Earth to teach us all. And he does this using intonation and gesticulation more fitting for a casting for the role of a stoned Jesus with a Joker-like smile, telling great truths to his apostles. In practice, it looks like he is travelling to some far-flung, exotic place and... But no. For instance, at one point he crawls into a huge cave complex where he tells us that in the complete darkness he can see nothing, but that his other senses had become more alert. And there it finishes and nothing comes of it. And so he travels off to the next exotic place. Because he is never out of shot, this is either an unfixable problem or, if you are mischievous scoundrels like me, then this is a simply marvelous guilty pleasure. The advantage of the second approach is that you have great fun and you can also enjoy apt videos similar to this one.
