Nekomonogatari Black

This anime series is definitely not as interesting, original, and ingenious as Bakemonogatari, even though it is definitely better than Nisemonogatari. I feel that it is somewhere in the middle. just like I found the dialogues interesting, even though I did not feel as great about those either. Also, I already know and like the characters even though I did not get into every interaction they had like I did when I first met them. Even the execution did not feel as magical and brilliant to me anymore. There was not nothing particularly new really. From what I have seen so far, the level of editing and interesting ideas was again rather below-average for this anime series. Plus, once you know the basic storyline and even the denouement from the first season, it was not really that dramatic. On the other hand, Oshino was great, Araragi had some very good moments, and Hanekawa is also still very appealing to me as a viewer. On top of that, the soundtrack was also very good, and I still think it is very good in terms of animation. All in all, I was quite satisfied, but unfortunately, I was not so excited, so 7/10.   (28/07/2017)
