Plots(1)
Preparations for the Paris raid pick up pace. Porunn and Judith both deliver children, and with new life there is also death. Athelstan tells Ragnar of his re-connection to his Christian faith. Floki interprets a sign from the gods that a sacrifice should be made. (History Channel)
Reviews (2)
The ultimate torture scene, admittedly a bit too much of the annoying religious overtones, but the final countdown didn't overstay its welcome, we were just waiting to see when it would come. An intense, full-blooded episode, one of the best of the third season. ()
Finally an episode worth watching. Even though Floki's and Athelstan's religious fervor often gets on my nerves, I enjoyed this one. It was a stark reminder that the ends justify the means and that Christian love for one’s neighbor can often be quite barbaric. ()
